Hailey Hummel (going by Ms. Hailey) joined Hillside Academy as its part-time Fundraising and Marketing Coordinator in February 2026. The Snoqualmie Valley community is a place Hailey has called home for nearly her entire life, as she was a Riverview School District student until graduating from Cedarcrest in 2019, then attending the University of Washington for a BA in Public Health in Seattle. 

After college, Hailey worked in managing two Puget Sound-area farmer’s markets and in internship and seasonal roles within Pike Place Market. Above all interests and goals, Hailey is passionate about giving back to the Snoqualmie Valley community she cherishes, and aims to engage in meaningful storytelling and community relationship building in her career. She’s always been drawn to inclusive education that prioritizes the entire student’s well-being, and is inspired by the commitment and kindness of the community at Hillside Academy. To better understand how to equitably reach this mission, Hailey is pursuing her master’s in Communication Leadership, returning to the University of Washington.

In her free time, “Coach Hailey” is in her first year serving as head cheerleading coach for Cedarcrest High School, just up the hill from Hillside, to build the classic Red Wolves’ spirit during football and basketball season. She also loves creating art, rooting for the Washington Huskies and Seattle Sounders, exploring around the Pacific Northwest, and spending time with her two energetic dogs, 11-year-old Rosie and puppy Fuji.
