Welcome to the 2025 Hillside Academy Read-A-Thon!
May 12–21, 2025
Preschool through 8th grade students are invited to read, track their minutes, and raise funds for our school!
Students set personal reading goals (number of minutes), record time spent reading each day, and ask friends and family to support them through donations. Preschool and Pre-K students can include minutes spent listening to books read aloud.
Let’s reach our $15,000 goal: Get 5 donors at $50 each OR 10 donors at $25 each!
If we reach our $15,000 school-wide goal, every student will receive a summer subscription to Epic!
Epic! is the world’s largest digital library for kids, featuring 40,000+ books, audiobooks, and learning videos that help fuel curiosity and build reading confidence all summer long. 🌞📖
📚 How to Participate:
- Set a personal reading goal on the reading log.
- Track minutes read from May 12 to May 21.
- Ask family and friends to donate based on minutes read.
- Turn in reading log and donations between May 22–28.
- Earn prizes and help support Hillside Academy!

Other Ways to Give
- Corporate Matching: Many companies offer matching gift programs , doubling or even tripling donations made by employees, directors, retirees, and their spouses. If your company participates, your contribution to Hillside Academy can go even further in supporting our students and programs.
- Corporate Matching: Some employers also match volunteer hours ! Be sure to check with your human resources department to see how your efforts can make an even bigger difference.
