Heidi Bournique, known at school as Ms. Bournique, has been a valued member of the Hillside Academy community since 2016. Initially serving as the Office Manager and Registrar, Heidi’s dedication and organizational skills have now led her to the role of Accounting Manager. In this role, she oversees the school’s finances and handles many compliance tasks. 

Heidi’s career in administration is deeply rooted in her love for being around children and contributing to their educational environment. Her educational journey began at Duvall Christian School, followed by the Monroe School District. Although she is not a teacher, her role as Office Manager allowed her to interact with students and be part of the vibrant school setting she cherishes. “That’s the one downfall about working remotely – I miss seeing the kids!” she remarks, highlighting her genuine affection for the school community.

Outside of her professional life, Heidi enjoys a variety of outdoor activities including camping, skiing, and mountain biking. She loves spending time with her husband, Bob, and their adorable corgi, Stella. A passionate reader, Heidi is particularly fond of historical fiction and suspense novels. She also enjoys a wide range of movies and music, reflecting her diverse interests.

Heidi lives by the motto “Because nice matters,” a philosophy that guides both her personal and professional interactions. She values kindness and strives to create a welcoming and supportive environment at Hillside Academy.

Family is central to Heidi’s life. She and Bob have two sons who were born and raised in Duvall and attended a small Christian school similar to Hillside Academy. She is grateful for the educational opportunities they received, believing it was a great investment in their future.
