BIO

Jennifer Hofmann, known as Mrs. Hofmann or Mrs. H to her students, began teaching at Hillside Academy in 2023. She holds a Master’s in Teaching, a Master’s in Organizational Development, and a Bachelor of Arts in Business-Marketing and Human Resources from the University of Washington, Central Washington University, and City University, respectively.

With five years of diverse teaching experience, including roles as a long-term substitute, German language instructor, tiny tots preschool teacher, and English Language Teacher in Dresden, Germany, Jennifer has also worked as a technical recruiter for Microsoft. She is fluent in German and holds a teaching certification.

Jennifer’s teaching philosophy centers on meeting each child where they are emotionally and academically, ensuring holistic development. She values Hillside Academy’s small class sizes and its focus on spiritual growth, aiming to nurture students academically, spiritually, and emotionally.

Outside of the classroom, Jennifer is a classic old movie enthusiast, enjoying films featuring Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant. She also loves skiing, bike riding with her family, and baking a delicious apple pie. Her adventurous spirit is captured by her favorite quote, “Do one thing every day that scares you,” by Eleanor Roosevelt.

Jennifer resides in North Bend with her two dogs and three children. Her son attends Mt. Si High School, while her daughters are students at Seattle University and Western Washington University. Having lived in Germany for two years, she brings a rich cultural perspective to her teaching at Hillside Academy.
