What do Veteran’s Day, student council, and voting have in common? They were the focus of today’s special assembly.

Thank you Mr. Mandoske for sharing your photos with us today. By sharing your pictures of the people that you met during your service in Vietnam, you showed the human side of war and conflicts. Your presentation was moving and thought provoking.

Following the Veteran’s Day presentation, students running for student council gave speeches. They all made compelling arguments of how they would serve the interests of their fellow students. Then it was up to the students to exercise their freedom to vote for their new Student Council.

Congratulations to those who won office! We hope that you will do a wonderful job representing the student body for the year.

Today we celebrate those who’s service to this nation protect and extend the liberty we have been granted.  It is for that reason we honor them.Thank you veterans for your service and our liberty.
